Question about Xfinity equipment charges

So to make a long story short, I have a pretty decent amount of debt with Xfinity that I recently found out got sent to a collection agency. Since the payments are smaller through the collection agency, we'll paying off our debt in full through them after discussing details today. I called Xfinity to make sure the service will be reinstated with them once paid in full. They said yes and then asked me if I still have the equipment, which I do. Part of the debt I owe is a $150 equipment charge from after my service disconnected, which the representative said will be removed since we're going to pay everything off soon. My question is, will this be removed before or after we pay the amount off? Do I have to pay it with the equipment charges first & then Xfinity will credit that back to me? How does this work?
