removing old cables from outside home

Our home has many types of cable wires around the outside of the house. The previous owners had DISH and there are wires we don't know what they are for. Is it possible to have someone come out to our home to help us identify which cables we need for our Xfinity Internet and TV and which ones we can get rid of?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thanks for reaching out. As a homeowner myself, I understand your concerns. I purchased my home about six years ago, and Dish Network was the previous provider, so the satellite dish is still on my home. Those wires also connect to the tap on the back of my home that Xfinity uses.

If you already have active Xfinity service, those are the lines connected to the tap. To remove any other existing lines or satellite equipment you no longer want, you would need to contact the other carrier(s)
