It happens on amazon books and fandango movies, other things too I can’t remember specifics.

@hsciii, Is it happening on the same day the reward shows up in the Rewards Section?

It happens within the hour of the alert to claim the reward. So, I get the pop up, tap it, get to my rewards, reward isn’t there, go back within minutes  or within the hour and the reward is sold out. So, it never shows up in the reward section to get until after they are all taken. 

Those rewards are on a first come, first served basis and only have a limited number. It would not surprise me if folks have figured out when those rewards appear and are able to redeem them right as they are released. Waiting for the notification on the app would potentially cause delays.
