Scam Call

I received a voicemail from someone stating they were an Xfinity agent. I called the number back and they told me that my promotion was ending in 24 hours and that in order to keep my promotion, if have to pay 8 months in advance $400. I knew something was off and decided to call Xfinity directly. Turns out it was a scam. There's an escalation being setup and I have a recording of the voicemail but nowhere you send it to. The number that called me was [Edited: "Scam Phone Number"].

Thank you,

user_01818e Thanks for reaching out to us for help today. Please don't share your personal information like your name on this platform in public for your safty. I'm happy to help in any way I can about the call scam going around.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name in private please

Click "Sign In" If necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person".

Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
