Scam?

Spoke to multiple technicians over the app. After one of them I started getting Like 20 emails and text messages from Xfinity with codes for my account. Now I’m scared the app support person tried to hack my account…. Not sure what to do.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello, @user_569438 are you able to test one of the emails by reporting it as spam? Copy the full message headers from the spam message, paste the header and message into an email and send it to abuse@comcast.net. If you're using a webmail user or third party email:

Webmail Users

  1. Select the message you wish to report as spam.
  2. Click the "Spam" button in the right-hand corner of the webmail console.

Email Client Users (Windows Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)

  1. Select the message you wish to report as spam.
  2. Send the spam message as an attachment to missed-spam@comcast.net.

Even if it was with someone on the xfinity app? I was on the messaging there.  The code emails themselves were not the scam cause I get from the same address when trying to login to my account. Someone was trying to get into my account or something but I will email the one you gave me. Thank you!
