Scammed on Xfinity 1-800-266--2278

I was scammed on 5/5/26 on the Xfinity 1-800-266-2688 number which was not spoofed. The call actually came in on that number. They sent me a security code on the Xfinity text #266278 which was not spoofed. This means that this was an employee or a person who works in a Xfinity/Comcast facility made this call and sent the text.

After speaking with a representative from your Customer Security Assurance, I'm not sure that she really believed what I was telling her and I don't think that I will ever hear back from that department based on how she responded to my questions. I have been with Xfinity/Comcast for 23 or so years and it may be coming to an end.

user_vvttbu Thank you for reaching back out with your concerns! I apologize if the representative left you feeling like your concern was not properly addressed, that would frustrate me as well. I would definitely suggest changing your account passwords as soon as possible, you can find instructions for changing your passwords here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/changing-or-resetting-your-password. Have you noticed any unauthorized charges to your Xfinity account? You can find instructions for viewing your Xfinity billing statement at the following link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/view-xfinity-billing-history. I would also suggest to check if there are any unauthorized charges on your credit card or unauthorized withdrawals from your banking account.
