Xfinity Stop Interrupting Internet To Do Your Work During The Day! This Interrupts Those That Work From Home! Schedule Overnight Or On The Weekend To Do Your Upgrade Or Whatever You're Doing!!! [Edited: all caps]

Hello, @user_195s5u thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. Working from home myself, I completely understand where you're coming from regarding needing the home network to be up and running. From experience, I've seen that when area equipment is upgraded, this work is done during the day to ensure technicians have daylight to perform the necessary work. I received a notification about 2 weeks prior to when my area network had this work done, you can check this website to see if the work is indeed related to any network enhancements: https://www.xfinity.com/network
Routine maintenance is scheduled overnight, and we send notifications for that also. If you haven't signed up you can do so here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/proactive-outage-notifications
For any unplanned interruptions, once there is an ETA for service restoration we will provide updates that can be checked from a mobile device either at the status center: https://www.xfinity.com/support/status or thorugh the Xfinity App.
