Service is still out

In North Fort Myers where I am there's hardly any damage and we have power yet no Internet. Other people in my neighborhood have Internet restored by other providers, what's taking so long? I'm an online college student and still have 5 assignments due tomorrow night, I need my Internet restored already.

user_9ps1yw Please know that getting everyone back connected is always paramount. The safety of our crews is something that is always number one, we are not able to dispatch any teams until there has been an all clear on all power related repairs to begin our work. Regardless if your location has power, the commercial power grid that powers our equipment is not restored yet. Unfortunately, as of now, we do not have an update for you. You can go to our regional blog, https://florida.comcast.com/2024/10/07/milton/ , to find the latest updates on our preparation and restoration efforts for Storm Milton, now and until we get every customer back up and running.

@XfinityThomasB I'm sorry but all that tells me is there's a bunch more people with their services, I'm happy for them, but I still wanna see a truck out here. I haven't seen a single truck near me or in other cities nearby, other Internet providers seem to have already restored their services for their customers around here. Just frustrating that the biggest Internet company hasn't done the same.

user_9ps1yw I definitely apologize for the inconvenience. I work from home and I know how important it is to stay connected. We are working to get you back up and running as soon as possible. We would recommend continuing to check the website for updates! We truly appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

Is it possible to get actual updates? Because it looks like work is being done since it shows 500-2,000 rather than 2,000+ on the map but I've got no estimation still and no communication whatsoever. It's frustrating just not having any idea of when things will be back, the text updates never come through with updates, the map is the only useful thing and that's barely.

user_9ps1yw the regional website and our Xfinity Status Center are the best resources right now for storm recovery and ETA on restoration. As with any major repair, these targets can move based on several factors, safety and accessibility are prime among those.

So I had internet yesterday, finally, and now I'm back to nothing and no estimates on getting it back. How's that work? And can't talk to anyone still about if this is a me issue or the outage got worse yet again, loving the comms.
