Talking to a human support staff is impossible

Trying to contact Support because our internet has been intermittent for days now and the ai agent you get dumped on when you call is keeps asking what my issue is and then hanging up as soon as I say I'm having internet issues. There needs to be clearly defined responses that get you to a human or a way to opt out of the garbage ai agent all together. My options are the phone agent or the ai assistant which insists on rebooting my modem, which doesn't help. I need a way to speak to a real human who can actually listen and respond so I can get a service appointment scheduled.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Thank you for your feedback and for joining us here on the Xfinity Forums. It's important to us that you're able to get the most out of your Xfinity Internet service, and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot with you.

If you prefer, there are several ways to reach our support teams. You can review all available contact options at our https://www.xfinity.com/support/contact-us and choose the method that's most convenient for you.

We're also happy to assist here on the forums. Intermittent internet issues can be caused by a variety of factors, including loose or damaged cables, wireless interference from thick walls, metal objects, large mirrors, microwaves, or neighboring WiFi networks operating on the same channel. Network performance can also be affected by the number of connected devices in the home, especially if usage exceeds the bandwidth available on your current speed tier. In some cases, a simple modem restart may resolve the issue.

Whenever you experience a service interruption, I recommend checking the Xfinity app first. The app can alert you to any known service issues in your area, guide you through troubleshooting steps, and even help schedule an expert Xfinity technician if needed.

Our team is here to help as well. To better understand what's happening and work toward a resolution, can you please let us know:

Is the issue occurring on devices connected directly to the modem via Ethernet, over WiFi, or both?
Is the problem affecting one device or multiple devices?
Does the issue occur in a specific room or location within the home?
Have you considered whether the number of connected devices and your household's usage may be exceeding the capabilities of your current speed tier?

The more details you can provide, the better we can help narrow down the cause and find a solution. We'll get to the bottom of this.

The issue is occurring on multiple devices, both ethernet connected directly to the modem and Wi-Fi devices.

The issue is not specific to a certain location in the house and seems to happen all over.

I believe the speed tier we are currently paying for is adequate for the number of concurrent devices; we're paying for a gigabit connection and the issue occurs whether we have one device being utilized or multiple devices.

Prior to attempting to contact service we replaced everything in the house between the Comcast line into the house and the Comcast Modem, so I can be reasonably certain that it isn't bad cabling or connections which are causing the issues.

Generally the Modem stays lit up white as though there are no issues, but webpages will hang when loading and things like Youtube videos will stall and buffer. Occasionally, though not always when this happens Wi-Fi connected devices will show that they are connected to the network, but not receiving internet through their connection.

user_xfohz0 - Thank you for taking the time to elaborate and for working through those troubleshooting steps with us! It sounds like you've done all the right things so far. Since the issue is occurring both over WiFi and when directly connected to the modem via Ethernet, it doesn't appear that common sources of wireless interference, such as building materials, smart appliances, or microwaves, are the primary cause.

To help narrow this down further, if you open the Xfinity app, select the WiFi tab, and scroll down to the device section, can you let me know how many devices show as connected and how many show as offline?
