Tech showed up then just LEFT and didn't help?

I am trying to get internet set up in a house we just moved into, and I had an appointment that was confirmed multiple times via text message, and then no one showed up. Customer service said that it was "scheduled on an unscheduled day" and that no one had actually been assigned to the appointment. So they rescheduled. And today, someone showed up, walked across my lawn, then got back in their van and left. I had the front door open and was waiting to greet them! What's the secret here? Do they not actually want customers?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi, @user_dfi2gh! Thanks for reaching out about your visit. I apologize that you were left waiting and wondering. That is never something we want and are glad to investigate this further. With the technician checking the line and then leaving it sounds like there may be a problem with the line or tap outside preventing them from completing the visit. No matter what, we should be communicating with you. I will need to access your account so I can look into this further.
