Transfer service and customer service lied
Hello my name is [Edited: "Personal Information"] I have had service for over 2 years and was looking to move to Placerville ca. Placerville has difficult service areas so I wanted to confirm that I could transfer service to [Edited: "Personal Information"] because I didn't want to get into another contract and pay a lot more to another provider. I called and an agent said that I could get service at the address so I went and signed a rental agreement. Then I called back a few days later to make the transfer and a new agent said that I could not get service transfered. I'm very angry! I called and spoke to a supervisor and they contacted construction department and called me back saying that it would cost me $8000 to get Xfinity service to the address. This is completely ridiculous! The address is less than 1 mile from an Xfinity store and the agent lied to me and now Im stuck in a rental agreement with no Internet service. I would have looked for another place to rent where I could transfer service. Thank you in advance. Please respond as soon as possible.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
