Urgent Complaint Regarding Prolonged Internet Outage – Medical & Work Impact

I am writing to formally express my frustration and deep concern regarding the ongoing internet outage affecting my home.

My service went down on August 14, 2026, at approximately 8:00 PM. The outage notice in the app indicates the cause is “severe weather,” yet my area has not experienced any severe weather conditions at any point during or after the outage. As of today, August 17, 2026, at 11:00 PM, I have not received a single update, nor has my internet service been restored.

This prolonged outage is more than an inconvenience. I am a disabled individual who relies on medical equipment that requires a stable internet connection. This situation has created unnecessary risk and stress. In addition, I depend on my internet service for work, daily communication, and essential life functions. Going multiple days without service — and without any meaningful communication from Xfinity — is unacceptable.

I am requesting immediate clarification on the true cause of this outage, an accurate restoration timeline, and confirmation that my situation is being prioritized due to the medical necessity involved. I also expect appropriate compensation for the days without service.

I appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt response.

Hey there user_d09rs7, thanks for bringing this to our attention here on the community forums! I'm truly sorry that your service have been out as long as they have. When it comes to area wide interruptions, our team and other frontline agents see the same information that's available through the Xfinity App and Network Status Page, and though there may not be an update, I'm sure our technicians in the area are doing everything within their power and jurisdiction to restore the service in the area.

That said, we can take a closer look to see if there's anything else causing issues to your account. Please send us a direct message with your full name, name on the account (if different), and service address, and we'll see what we can find out!

How to Send Us a Direct Message:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
