Urgent Request for Resolution – Drop Burial Delay - Fiber Line (4 months and counting!)
I am reaching out in frustration after months of repeated attempts to resolve an ongoing issue with the temporary fiber line installed at my property. Since early May, a 200+ foot temporary fiber line has been stretched across my yard. Despite numerous follow-up calls and assurances, the permanent burial of this line remains incomplete.
To date, the underground location company has surveyed my property six times—twice within the same hour just last weekend. The original flags from the first survey are still in place, now surrounded by overgrown grass, as I’ve avoided mowing near them to preserve their visibility.
While I have no complaints about the fiber service itself—it’s fast and reliable—the exposed line poses a safety concern, especially with children playing nearby. The constant delays and lack of follow-through have become increasingly frustrating.
Today marks the sixth time I’ve been assured that the third-party burial team would arrive, with a promised window of 2 PM to 5 PM. It is now past 5 PM on the Friday before a holiday weekend, and once again, no one has shown up. I’ve been repeatedly promised callbacks from local managers, none of which have materialized. Even the original sales representative has stopped responding to my calls.
I am asking—once again—for someone at Xfinity to take ownership of this issue and ensure the burial is completed without further delay. I would appreciate a direct contact who can provide a realistic timeline and follow through.
Sincerely,
Need Drop Burial Completed
