Vehicle damaged by dangling fiber optic splice container on Stottlemyer road in Frederick county MD
Last nigh my son and I were driving on Sottlemyer Road in Frederick county Maryland. At 9:29pm our bronco was struck by a loose dangling FOCS at the height of my windshield. Luckily my son screamed out a second before impact, as I noticed a black object coming right at his side of the car, I swerved as much as I could, missed my son and hit the A pillar and mirror of my Bronco.
Two folks stopped and checked on us... they advised that this FOSC was dangling down in the roadway recently and crew was on site and tied it to a nearby tree...
I took pics, left the scene and returned with the police 30 minutes later. Only to find the FOSC was tied to a TREE, off to the side of the roadway to prevent it from dangling into the roadway... this is a huge issue! I could not imagine a motorcyclist driving through that dark road at night and being struck by this object...
I have the police report and contacts witnesses at the scene.
Who do I reach out to for Xfinity to pay for my cars damages?
