What to do with unused coax cable? Cap it?

I was recently sent a new XFinity 4K TV box that uses streaming wifi instead of the coax cable. What do I do with the old cable? i don't want to remove it entirely in case I use it again down the road but does it need to be capped for safety when not connected to anything?

Thanks for reaching back out, we apologize for any inconvenience we can only send the verification code to you through our direct private messaging.

But to answer your question in regards to the unused coax cable, you can do whatever you want with the extra coax cable as there yours so keep,  It's also up to you if you want to remove the coax outlet.

I'm in the same situation as you, my bedroom has a coax cable that's not connected to an actual wall outlet but I have the Wi-Fi streaming box in my room.  But I still have the cable I just hid into the floor
