Why are flags in my front yard?

A company that installed flags in my front yard showing where water, gas, and electric lines were said that Comcast paid to have this done. Can you tell me what's going on. This is the first we ever knew about this.

Good afternoon @user_gzg573. From my experience, utilities being marked like that are a prelude to having a line buried or possibly even upgrading the lines that are already there. Do you or a neighbor have a temporary line for your service?

@XfinityRaf  That's what I figured, but I thought I'd hear from Comcast/Xfinity about this. I just spent a lot of money re-landscaping our front yard and now I don't know what is going to happen. What will be torn up? What will be damaged? Who can I call or contact to find out. Your web site support tools don't work because there's no subject head for this. I need a real human being to talk to.
