Why do you lie to us about being "valued customers?"

Earlier this year, I saw a promo offering $50/mo Gigabit for 5 years. You were actively charging me $80/mo for the exact same service. When I called to try to get the better rate, I was offered $70/mo because I'm "such a valued customer."

I finally canceled a month ago because I was fed up with your unreliable service and terrible practices (I was also lied to about receiving a $200 Amazon card when I signed up). What do you know? I just got a postcard asking me to sign back up... for $50/mo! You had your chance to offer me that rate and instead offered me $20 more. I now know exactly how much I was valued as a customer: as someone to easily exploit. My question is simple:

How am I a "valued customer" when you deliberately charge me $30 more than new customers? How do you even say this lie with a straight face?

P.S. All you clowns had to do was offer me this rate without making me cancel. You lost a customer for life over $20/mo.
