Xb10 no cable in the box

Today I went to the Xfinity store in Bellevue, Washington to sign up for a new internet service, and I received the XB10 modem. However, when I got home, I found that the box only contained the modem itself and the power cord. There were no additional cables included—neither a coaxial cable to connect to the wall outlet nor even an Ethernet (LAN) cable.

Is this normal? Why didn’t I receive these cables in the package?

Yes, it it normal. It is assumed that a cable is already in place in your home.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@user_yora

Thanks for reaching out to us and joining the Xfinity  family! We do apologize for any inconvenience. Generally with the self install kit you get the equipment a coax cable and an Ethernet cable. You can always go back to the local Xfinity store and pick up the cable and Ethernet cord for free or use any coax cable you may have already in the home an your own personal CAT6 Ethernet cable

If you are a new subscriber, you are supposed to get a power cable and an Ethernet cable in the self install kit.
