Xfinity Blocking Fraud Alert Phone Calls

What happened? 2-3 months ago, the fraud alert calls from my bank were not blocked. Now they are blocked. I have to "allow" low spam risk robocalls for the fraud calls to get through. That lest way too many illegal robocalls thru. My banks fraud alerts use telephone number [Edited: Personal Information]. I have reported this number several times as a valid number being blocked. This needs to be fixed ASAP. I recently had my credit card compromised. Please fix this. Thank you.

Xfinity spam blocker. Its set to block all 3 categories high medium and low risk. The fraud alert calls were not blocked with that setting until recently. If I set low risk to allow I get too many illegal robocalls. But that is not the issue. The issue is why did the calls get blocked when they were getting thru before? This number needs to be unblocked ASAP.

Thank you for confirming that you are using our spam blocker @user_kwb4l6. To confirm, have you tried signing in to your Xfinity Voice account online, going to Settings > Call Blocking (or Call Screening), finding the number in your blocked list, and clicking the trash can icon next to it?

I am not blocking fraud alerts from my bank. Their number is not in any block list I have. It is Xfinity that is blocking the number. If this is not fixed  I will seek a resolution through the FCC. Blocking fraud alerts is a very serious matter. Please stop blocking [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Thank you.

Hi there, @user_kwb4l6 Thank you for taking the time to reach out. I do apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with your fraud alerts being blocked. Xfinity blocks bank fraud alerts due to xFi Advanced Security or spam filters misidentify legitimate bank calls as suspicious activity or spam, often due to unusual traffic patterns or connections to IP addresses the system deems risky. To fix this, you need to adjust your Xfinity security settings in the app (like allowing certain numbers or lowering spam risk), report the false positive at spa.xfinity.com, or disable Advanced Security temporarily to get alerts, while also contacting your bank to whitelist numbers and report the issue.-Richard
