Xfinity mobile Wifi Hotspots not available

When I first signed up for xfinity cable I was able to use the xfinity hotspots out in public. However after my xfinity home internet was installed I have lost that ability.

The option to "autoconnect to hotspots" is simply missing from the app. If I try to log into a hotspot using the login landing page I receive an error that my "account tier does not qualify for this service"

I have tried multiple times with customer service to get this resolved. I have received everything from one extremely unhelpful person telling me that "I should just use my data when I travel" to one person who really genuinely tried to help. He told me that he had to escalate it, and to expect a text asking if my issue was resolved. I said no... and then the robot AI started over at the beginning... like I hadnt spent hours talking to people already. I never received a ticket number or anything I could reference... I am tired of doing this and I just want this perk to work.

How do you escalate an issue that isn't resolved first try? The silly xfinity assistant AI slop is not very helpful when I have to start over everytime.

FOLLOW UP: I thought this worked. It didn't.

I think I fixed it myself.

When I signed up I was offered cable speeds, but when the guy came out he installed fiber. Win. However, I think that made me have some weird plan that didnt exist. I went on the site and switched my plan from the 1 gig speed, to the other option that also said 1 gig. I think that did it.

yakboyslim, Thank you for creating a new post and outlining your issue. Also, for following up to let us know about the fix. I'm glad to hear you saw an improvement after making some changes online. How has everything been performing since? Also, how are your speeds looking since the change?

@XfinityVianney well I spoke too soon. Somethings looked different so I thought a change had occurred. However, I just traveled and unfortunately it did not change anything. So I am still having my issue.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Direct Message":
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
