Xfinity student plan

I am a student and recently signed up for Xfinity internet service. I just noticed that Xfinity offers a special student discount plan. Since I am currently a student and have just started my service, I would like to know if it is possible to transfer my current plan to the student plan or have the student discount applied to my account.

Yes, I have already checked the student internet deals in my area. One of my classmates who lives in the same community just signed up for the student plan a few days ago. He is getting the same internet speed as I do, but his monthly rate is about $10 lower than mine.

I have checked the student internet deals online, but I am not able to transfer my existing account to the student plan by myself through the website. There is no option showing up for me to switch. Could you please help me apply the student plan to my account directly or guide me through the exact steps to get this done? I really appreciate your assistance.
