Xfinity technician: scope of service
I have a personal computer that isn’t Wi-Fi capable, so I bought a wireless network adapter. If I schedule an appointment with a technician from Xfinity, will they fix my personal computer for me, or is that beyond their scope of service?

I do apologize, but we do not assist with the installation and activation of third-party software and equipment. There may be online videos that go through the installation of the hardware and software that may help you do it yourself. You can also reach out to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to see if they have any recommendations for getting the device installed and working.
