Xfinity Will Not Process My Cancellation Request

For the past few months I have repeatedly tried to cancel my service and each time I am told it is canceled, but my account keeps telling me that I have service and an upcoming bill. I have also paid for two months that I am not using. How can I get a resolution to this that does not require me to make another call, as those have not been effective. I turned off my autopay, but I still do not want to receive bills.

user_sbrsxt Good morning to you! I'm sorry for the trouble with the ongoing trouble with the account not being closed. I know this have to be an annoying situation, but you found the best team to help out and ensure the account is closed. We will also make sure that you are refunded the additional charges from when the account should have been cancelled and services ended.
There are some situations where the dates fall just right and new statements are posted before the account closure can complete, but considering you've had this repeat itself, I think that if the order to close the account was set, it never completed.
No fear, we will help sort this out. Since it is account specific can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address?
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
