Xinity rewards Amazon bookshelf 8-20

I successfully redeemed the Amazon Bookshelf offer for "One Last Summer Read" yesterday, August 20.  And I have the promo code.  I waited until later to redeem it though because it is valid through August 27 & there were so many issues last week with the Amazon credits.

When I click on the link, it opens up the "One Last Summer Read Bookshelf".  However, when I put in my promo code, I get a message that "Voucher was applied to another Amazon account. Login with the correct Amazon account to use the voucher."

I definitely didn't apply it to a different Amazon account because I only have one.  And the voucher is definitely not applied to my account.

Any suggestions?

user_Maryland My team will have to get this escalated on our end for your rewards concern today.

Click "Sign in" if necessary.

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.

Click the "Start new conversion" (Pencil and paper) icon.

In the  "To:" Line, type "Xfinity Support".

As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An  "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the  "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press Enter to send it.

I claimed the $10 voucher through Xfinity today and when I added the book from the bookshelf, the voucher did not apply at checkout, even though I toggled for it to apply the rewards.

@user_ac4uyn Thanks for letting us know. Are you able to try redeeming it on another device, or browser?

@user_ac4uyn cancel the first order. And then check out again & go back to payment method to double select the voucher as the payment method.  It is really common when you get to the check out page that the voucher did not apply at first with these vouchers - until you select it again (& remove reward points etc).

You sometimes have to go back & forth between the payment screen & the final check out screen 2 or 3 times.

So on the payment screen, it shows the amount available from the voucher that can be applied to my order, and it reflects the cost of the book I selected, but when I check out, is still not deducting the amount covered by the voucher in the order total.

This was the most infuriating thing ever, just to redeem $10! But here are my learnings in case they would be of help to someone else! I don’t have Amazon prime, so when I added my book to the cart, it kept applying the voucher to the cost of the delivery fee. And then, if the total cost of your book, after delivery and tax, exceeds the value of your voucher, no amount of the voucher will apply. It might say it’s available to apply to your cart but your order total will not reflect the discount from the voucher, so be sure that you review before paying!

I had other things to buy anyway, so I added them to my cart in order to reach $35 to get free shipping of my book as well. But if I added the book first, then the other items, I ran into the issue above, where the voucher wouldn’t apply. I had to instead add my other items to the cart, choose free delivery to cancel out that cost, and then add the book, after which the Xfinity voucher wouldn’t apply apply. And make sure the total cost of your book after taxes doesn’t exceed the value of the voucher!

user_ac4uyn. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and the steps that worked for you. We understand how frustrating it can be when a redemption doesn't go as expected, and we appreciate you detailing the process for others who may run into similar challenges. We're glad you were ultimately able to redeem the reward, and your feedback is valuable as we continue working to improve the experience. Thanks again for sharing your learnings with the community!
