Ended home security service, equipment still here, intermittent beeping

Hello, I downgraded my bundle to just internet, ending the home security, cable, and phone. All security system equipment stayed but it regular,y beeps at the touchscreen unit. ( even when connected to internet)

I know it’s not doing anything, but can I stop the beeping or just throw it out?

Hey there @ejs0614, thanks so much for taking the time to reach us here on Forums with these questions on Xfinity Home Protection.  The beeping is due to the system being disconnected, as the pad has nothing to link back to. The touchscreen does need to be returned to us, as this equipment is considered leased from Xfinity. This link will take you to our Xfinity Return Center, where you can print off a return label or find the nearest drop-off locations to you.
