Apple Watch Scam
I was pressured into ordering a “FREE” watch by a foreign Xfinity Mobile customer service agent after calling about an unrelated issue. I refused to order the watch without first reading the terms and conditions in writing. The terms and conditions state “Requires purchase and activation of new, eligible smartwatch device while supplies last, a 24-month Xfinity Mobile Device Payment Plan Agreement ("Device Agreement"), and activation of new Xfinity Mobile line within 30 days of device purchase date. When smartwatch is paired to compatible phone, data usage counts towards phone plan data allowance. Additional $10 monthly smartwatch fee applies. Pricing subject to change. Additional taxes and fees apply. Applicable taxes for the full smartwatch amount are charged when smartwatch is shipped (or when smartwatch is fulfilled in a Xfinity retail store) and are in addition to the monthly charge. Device credits applied monthly to your account over 24 months so long as Device Agreement is in effect. If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily or device payments are accelerated, balance of credits associated with device payment are forfeited.” What a SCAM!! I will be switching service providers to avoid a company using representatives who try to rip you off.

Hello, @user_8s4ft6 thank you for providing the terms and conditions for watch orders. It's important for our community to know these details before they except an offer. We are pretty transparent on XfinityMobile.com as all this information is listed in the highlighted Pricing & other info button. My apologies if the agent you spoke with did not properly communicate this information as well. Please let me know if you were able to resolve the unrelated issue you originally reach out or need further assistance.

I also fell for this. I ordered the watch and asked about the $10/month fee and if I could cancel this. An agent said I could cancel after 1 year but based on the above post I think that was wrong. Since my watch has not been shipped, I am going to cancel my order. At no point was I told I had to pay $10/month for 24 months.
