Being charged for a phone I returned before warranty agreement!

Literally gave me a non working phone I returned it within the warranty exchange for a new phone. They said they received it before the warranty agreement. Now after 4 Months they're saying they never received the phone before the warranty agreement and expects me to pay for  the phone all of a sudden. A phone that I DONT EVEN HAVE BECAUSE IT SENT IT BACK. This is literally the worse company. Then even worse they say they don't know where the phone is!!!
