Free Ipad Scam

I chatted and then spoke with someone from Xfinity back in August because my internet bill was about to go way up. I wanted to cancel. The guy told me that he could do this deal for me that would get me faster internet and an ipad for 70 bucks a month. I told him I didn't need mobile, though. And he said that was fine that I could just use the ipad at home and get internet only. I verified with him that this would still be cheaper than the 90 my internet was about to go up to. He verified. I checked my account yesterday and I am scheduled for two different auto payments, one for 70 bucks and one for 66 bucks. They have me set up for mobile on this device I didn't even want but got because somehow getting it was supposed to make my payments go down. Obviously there's an employee who is getting commission and is selling this stuff to people who don't want or need it. I spent hours trying to get help today. I was kicked off chat, then tried again and couldn't log on. Then I chatted with one person who said they couldn't see various part of my account. Then they sent me to another person and another. Finally I got someone who told me I never activated my ipad. I was like, dude, I don't want mobile and never thought I had it. I've been using the ipad on my internet for a month. So he said I can send it back and then my bill will be 70. Meanwhile I bought an Apple Pencil and a drawing program for the thing. So I'm out that money and have to drive 40 minutes to an Xfinity store so I can get my bill down to 70 a month. I should have cancelled when I had the chance. I cannot believe how crappy I was treated and how much time, energy, and money I have wasted. You should be ashamed and you should figure out what employee is doing this.

Same! I was about to cancel my home phone rep like oh we can make bill cheaper such a such im like I don’t need another phone she like ohhhhh it’s free I’m like if my bill will be cheaper ok then they sent me multiple devices to a home I no longer stayed at them tried to charge me 2 months later after I cancelled the service 9 days in. And guess what they wiped my account and now I can’t see the anything that I had Xfinity mobile they sneaky and liars I’m so happy I have proof from my bank and pdf files that I did have a accout
