IMEI Compatibility Issue for International Samsung Galaxy S23 (Unlocked)

Hi,

I am writing to inquire about a device compatibility issue while switching to Xfinity Mobile.

My device is a Samsung Galaxy S23, originally purchased in South Korea. Although it is an international model, it is fully unlocked, and I have successfully used various international SIM cards with this device in the past without any issues.

However, when I check my IMEI on your website, it shows as incompatible. Since this is a relatively new and high-spec model that supports most global bands, I suspect it might be a registration or database issue rather than a technical limitation.

Could you please advise if I can get this resolved by visiting an Xfinity Store in person? I would like to know if a store representative can manually override the IMEI check or provide a SIM card to test the network compatibility on-site.

Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks for reaching out to us, that's a great question and by visiting the Xfinity store they would be able to assist you with the mobile concerns on if we're able to have that model compatible with our services

Hey, I brought my phone from India and I'm having the same problem. Can anyone tell us why this is happening and what we can do? I have several US carriers that worked fine, but why not with Xfinity?

Hi @user_cj798n, thank you for posting on our Xfinity Forums Community page with your reply! Phones brought from other countries don’t always work the same way on every U.S. carrier, which is why some may connect without any issues and others may not. It usually just comes down to whether the phone model is supported on our network.

You can quickly check if your device will work with Xfinity Mobile using our compatibility tool here.

Just enter your IMEI and it’ll tell you right away.

If you need help with that or have any other questions, we’re here for you!
