iPad Scam - Don't Take the Shiny Bait! You Aren't Saving Money!
My husband tried to lower our internet bill and got scammed into a tablet. The person in Chat said they would lower the bill by $25.00 a month but the monthly cost of the mobile service for the tablet is about $25 a month. As soon as we receive this tablet we are going to the Xfinity store to return that device and get this figured out.
You don't need a data plan with a tablet if you connect it to Wi-Fi...Don't be a fool!!! Use your phone in times you don't have Wi-Fi or user your phones hot spot and connect your tablet to that.
Don't fall for the Xfinity Mobile Scams!!! Don't take the shiny bait! You aren't saving any money!

Hello @user_gypv7y We appreciate you getting this reported. In some cases customers have lowered their overall bills even with a new iPad included. But they are never required to get a lower internet rate. I apologize if the agent that worked with your husband informed him otherwise. You do have a 14-day return window on the iPad and any charges or service related to it will get reversed. If you run into any trouble processing the return our team would be happy to assist you with escalating the issue.
