Phone incompatible

I literally just bought this Galaxy phone (pain in full) from an Xfinity store Friday afternoon, and after struggling to get it activated all weekend... I get told the phone is incompatible. Is this a joke?

The Xfinity store you went to was it an actual Xfinity retail store purchase the phone from Xfinity retail agent or what's the location you went to a branded store where that store services more than one provider?
