problems with phone trade-in.

I accepted an offer for a samsung s21 ultra on January 24, 2025. I received my new samsung s25+ on February 5, 2025. I activated it and did the smart switch of data and wrapped the s21 in a bubble mailer, and packed it in the box that I received the new one in and sent it to assurant. On Saturday Febraury 15, I received an email saying that the phone will not be accepted because of too much physical damage. I was shocked because the phone was in perfect condition when I mailed it. Yesterday the 17th, I received it back and the one camera lens is smashed. I did not do this damage.

Went to the xfinity store today and they said i would have to file a claim with the shipping company but I would only get back the cost of the shipping. I am still out my 750$ credit toward the S25+. The store manager was very kind but also did not fix the problem. I ended up returning my new 25+ and am now stuck with a smashed lens old phone.  I am thoroughly discussed and not sure what my next step is.

anybody have suggestions!

thanks

I did my first trade-in with Xfinity mobile last year and I will never ever do a trade-in with them again their process is arcatic. Then once they have the phone pretty much good luck on getting your credit.
