RCS no longer working
I can no longer utilize group chats as RCS has stopped working about a week or so ago. Tried several troubleshooting items such as clearing cache on messages app, I don't have an XCS app, so couldn't clear cache there. Re-started phone numerous times, turned off RCS for 4 days. My phone number in RCS settings still shows connecting with error 3000. I am using a Google Pixel 7 pro. Please help to fix this issue to sync my phone back with Google's DB.

We'd be happy to help you figure out what's preventing RCS from connecting on your Pixel 7 Pro!
We can see you've already put quite a bit of effort into troubleshooting, including clearing the Messages app cache, restarting your phone multiple times, and leaving RCS disabled for four days. We definitely don't want to have you repeat those same steps.
The fact that your RCS status remains stuck on "Connecting" with error 3000 suggests that the registration process isn't completing successfully. RCS relies on Google Messages being able to verify your phone number, so we'd want to narrow down whether something is preventing that verification or if there's an issue with the mobile line itself.
One thing we'd like to clarify: Are you still able to send and receive regular SMS/MMS messages and use mobile data without any problems, or is messaging only affected when using RCS?
That will help us determine whether we need to investigate the mobile service itself or focus specifically on the RCS registration issue. We want to get those group conversations working again without having you go through another round of troubleshooting that hasn't helped.

I am having the same problems and have jumped through the usual troubleshooting steps. RCS works fine for a while and then drops out again, cutting me off from both social and work group chats. I thought it was just one group and then realized I was missing a lot of other group chats. It mysteriously turns itself back on but then drops again. The switch to Google Messages worked fine for a few months. This just started in September 2026. Since it can't connect to verify a phone number that has been fine for months, I suspect the carrier is the problem. This is a Galaxy S26 that I purchased through Xfinity.
