Transfer Pin DOES NOT send

I've followed and performed these instructions many times and the pin does not arrive. My numberlock is off, I went into the Xfinity store and called Xfinity support and neither could help me. I just want to transfer my number to a new carrier.

Fromthere you will need a security PIN

1. Sign in to your Xfinity Mobile account and go to the Devices tab.
2. Select the device associated with the phone number you want to transfer to a new carrier.
3. Scroll down the page to transfer your number, cancel this line.
4. Select Learn More.

Select an active line, so we can send you a text message with your security PIN. The same security PIN can be used to transfer any phone number on your Xfinity Mobile account. It will expire in 24 hours.

Once you tell your new carrier you're transferring a number from Xfinity Mobile, you don't have to call us to cancel. When activation with your new carrier is completed, we’ll automatically cancel your Xfinity Mobile service for that line.

Hello nener80, I am sad to hear you're leaving, but I want to try and help you. Thank you for taking the time to post in our Xfinity Community forum, we appreciate you and your time. I'm surprised the store was unable to assist you, but I will do my best. I see you followed the steps you posted and said they did not work, you also tried calling in to customer care, forgive me for asking, but did you try Mobile Customer Care( not trying to be sarcastic, they are different)?

This does not work! I've tried dozens of times. You're holding my number hostage and making it impossible to get the PIN. This is illegal and based on the dozens of other posts about this it wont take long for a class action lawsuit. Give us our PINs!!!!

This has happened to me too! My line is temporarily suspended and I want my transfer pin,  I am tired of not being treated with disrespect  and being bounced around. I can’t get incoming texts but they keep saying I can get it via text

I'm having the same issue! They refused to give me a transfer number and instead told me they'd change my services to lower my bill.

This smells like a lawsuit Xfinity!!!!

Hello, @user_bw93pj. Thank you for your comment. Sorry to hear that you’ve had difficulty getting assistance with obtaining your transfer PIN. I can certainly understand how frustrating that must be, and this is not the experience we want for our customers. While we hate to see you leave, we’d be happy to help point you in the right direction. Since your services are currently suspended, you would not be able to receive the transfer PIN via text message. The alternative option would be to visit your nearest Xfinity Store, where the team can validate your identity and assist you further. Have you already visited an Xfinity Store for assistance and were unsuccessful in getting the transfer PIN?

I have the same problem.  requested transfer pin 4 times through app, mobile browser, desktop browser, went to a physical store and they had me talk to someone over videochat to fix this and still no pin number.  called customer support, they said nothing they can do and wait 14 days for a ticket to be responded to.  so what next???? looks like i'll just have to stay on xfinity wireless forever?  FCC has rules about not porting numbers over.  I'll contact them next and see where that goes
