2-step verification

How do I stop 2-step verification? I have to get my phone to see the code to enter everytime, even though I check "Don't ask again on this browser".

Thank you for reaching out to us here @user_frmxqj. If you have that two-step verification enabled there should be a turn-off option at the bottom of the page with a purple key that shows the verification on. You can see your current status on the Xfinity ID and security tab of your app.

I can't find 2-step verification to stop it. On the Xfinity email page, I click the Gear and select Security and it isn't there or under any other Gear selection. I am a determined experienced user 30 years. Any other ideas would be appreciated. I'm using Win10 on a Dell laptop.

2-Step verification doesn't happen with Comcast Email, on my phone, only the laptop.

Thank you.

You know, @user_frmxqj, I've noticed the same thing when accessing My Account online using my laptop (it prompts me to approve my log in through the app on my phone every time I log in using the web browser, even when I select the same "Don't ask again on this browser" option). I want to keep my Two-step verification on for now, but I did locate the steps you may take to turn it off:

- Log in to My Account

- Select the Account logo in the upper right corner

- Select "Account and Identity"

- Select "Xfinity ID and Security"

- Scroll down and select "Two-step verification"

- Click the "Turn Off" button to turn this feature off

I think I finally found it under Security a few pages down.

What a nuisance. I Tried for weeks, time will tell.

Thank you.
