3rd Party Emails not working after requested password update

Since updating my password per xfinity's request I can no longer access my emails on my iPad, iPhone, or Desktop.  To reduce the response time to the real issue I have done the following:

  1. I did reset my passwords on all my devices.
  2. I did check that third party access was checked.
  3. I even unchecked it logged off and then checked the third party access back on.
  4. I removed my account from various apps and restored them.

I am able to access my email via a web browser but this is incredibly inconvenient when I rely on being able to access my email quickly, especially from my phone.

I see where others have had this problem previously.  Why does this seem to be an ongoing issue?  Any suggestions on how to get this resolved?

Thank you for reaching out. Did you change your password from the website or from the 3rd party app @user_xyxofb? Have you also received any communications from Yahoo regarding your Comcast email?

I first changed the password on the Xfinity website then changed it on my iphone, ipad, & Outlook app. The issue seems to have resolved itself.

Not sure why I would receive any communications from Yahoo regarding my Comcast email.

I am happy to hear the issue is o longer happening. As for Yahoo, beginning June 2025, comcast.net email accounts will begin transitioning to Yahoo Mail. This transition will happen in phases through 2026. There is nothing you need to do until we let you know that it’s time to complete the move. You’ll keep the features you love most about Xfinity Mail when you make the move — including your current comcast.net email address, messages, folders, and contacts.
