adding existing xfinity account holder to my xfinity account as a user

Elderly Mom has an account with a ***@comcast.net email.  She is moving in with me and canceling her xfinity account at her old home.  Can I add her existing email address to my account as a 'member' user (1 of my 7 allowed) ?  She wants to keep her existing email address

thanks in advance!

@Jackaroe

There is really no need to "add" her to your account.  Even though she will no longer be a paying Comcast customer herself, she can keep on using her email as usual.

See here:

And here:

This policy was adopted by Comcast about five years ago I think.

General summary: As long as you keep accessing the email every few months, it will remain active.

Sign in to xfinity.com as the Primary user. Click the Account icon and then click Account and Identity. Click Add someone new underneath the list of current users.

Note: If you don't have other users on the account already, click Invite friends and family.

Thanks Mike. Tried that, but can’t because she is an existing user with her own account. Wasn’t sure if I should cancel her account first, then add her to mine… but I see further info below.  Thanks for your suggestion!

And yet, it's not a bad idea. See, for example, https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/signin-and-account-management/cant-access-secondary-email/656f7a9bcc3f661cfc862457.

Hi, @Jackaroe ! The great news is that she can keep her email active by just logging in at least once at least once in the 90 days prior to disconnection. We have a great link here that should help out a bit.
