Adding my email account to Office 365 Outlook issues

I cannot add my comcast.net email address to my Windows 11 Office 365 Outlook (old version) email account.  I keep getting the message that the incoming (IMAP) server was dropped and to please check the incoming (IMAP) server settings and try again.  Interestingly it will add easily using the new version of Outlook in Office 365, but the seetings do not transfer over to the old version which I much prefer using.  Can  I get some help getting it set up in the old Outlook version?

Also, sometimes when I retry, it will give me the commen "We couldn't log on to the incoming (IMAP) server.  Please check your email  address and password and try again".  My email address and password were correct and I even changed my password and tried again to no avail.

Hey there, @speerex. Have you gotten a chance to review our article for updating settings to access your Comcast email address through 3rd party email clients? A step that has worked for customers in the past is deleting the profile and building the email settings again. Typically that error occurs due to corruption in the email profile or inconsistencies in the Outlook data file (OST).

Got it fixed thanks.  VFN was accidentally on and not recognized as such, so was creating problems.
