As of June 2024, Xfinity customers are not able to create new Comcast email (comcast.net) accounts. However, existing email accounts can still be accessed and used as usual.
Since you can't get one from Comcast/Xfinity, consider getting an account from to one of the (often free) independent email only providers like Outlook.com, Gmail.com, Yahoo.com, etc.
