@user_ixc6t4 Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues accessing your email while overseas. Can you clarify how you are trying to access the email? Are you using a 3rd party email client or using our webmail client? Are you receiving any errors? The more information you can provide, the better we will be able to assist you.

@XfinityBillie   I am having the exact same issues.  I have had Xfinity/Comcast email for a long time and I download my emails using 3rd party Apple's Mail app.  It works great anytime I'm in the US.

On several overseas trips the same problem occurs...  When I launch the Mail app the app queries for new emails and the system responds as follows: "There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “Comcast” or try again. The server returned the error: The connection to the server “pop3.comcast.net” on port 995 timed out."

I re-entered the username/password, and YES I went into the comcast mail via web interface and DID make sure that the selection for using 3rd party applications for email is selected.

I suspect your system is sensing that the email query is coming from overseas and you block it somehow.  If for some horrid reason you added some level of security to prevent access from overseas, then can you PLEASE remove it?  I absolutely hate not being able to download my emails using the Mail app.  If you are limiting email to domestic traffic only, then I will terminate my over 20 year relationship with Comcast/Xfinity.  PLEASE help me get this working!

user_c2ea09 Thank you so much for letting us know you are not able to access your email using your email app on your Apple device. We would not be blocking any email access and if you access Xfinity.com, you should be able to view you emails still. The error you provided sounds like an error with Apple Mail connecting to our servers. I would make sure your password and 3rd party email settings are set up correctly. Check out our email setup page for more settings.
