Cannot connect to email server using Outlook on a PC

Cannot connect to email server using Outlook but can connect using the web portal, for 2 weeks since 12/31.  Pop3 port 995, SSL outgoing port 465, and other settings have not changed on my end.  The check box for using 3rd party access security in the web email settings is still checked.  It just stopped working as if I am being blocked by comcast.  Went to local Xfinity store and they were absolutely useless, did not know how to troubleshoot or solve this problem.  The AI assistant is completely useless and it doesn't offer to chat with a real person.

What happens when you try to load or send email? Any error messages?

This is the error ^ from Outlook when just trying to connect to the email server to either send or download messages.  I had tried to change the encryption type (SSL/TLS;POP3/IMAP) and port numbers (993/995/143/587/465) as described in other support documentation, but nothing had worked, so I changed them back to the original settings that have worked for several years (POP3;995/465).

It appears to be the Threat Protection Pro feature in NordVPN that is blocking Outlook.  Whether the vpn is enabled or not, doesn't matter.  Disabling the Threat Protection Pro feature allows Outlook to connect to the mail server.  There must have been an update on 1/2025 to the TPP feature because before January Outlook was able to connect with TPP enabled.
