Cannot connect to imap server

I am unable to receive mail on my phone or in Outlook.  In both cases the devices are not able to connect to the imap server. The password for all accounts are current and are in the apps and devices. I am getting an error message on my phone that Comcast is not available and on my PC that is trying to get email through Outlook it just keeps asking to input the password over and over. You have an imap problem. I need my email. I am a LAncaster PA user but am in NC.

Good evening @user_4004b1 and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forums with your email issues. We'd be happy to troubleshoot further. To get started, please send us a Direct Message with your name and service address. To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message: Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it

Thanks for your response.  Turns out this was apparently an Xfinity issue.  There were multiple people (in my own home) who were unable to receive any email.  It's frustrating that you can't open a ticket or get help from a live person in a timely fashion because that chat bot is not good.  Thanks for getting back to me, but I'm resolved.
