Cannot Log-in to Comcast email

I cannot log-in to one of my Comcast email accounts.  I'm getting an error that the credentials are not valid and the pwd is no good, and that I need to update the account.  On the acct page I get "The entered credential or authentication information does not work or are no longer accepted by provider. Please change them."  The authentication info has been update and it's accurate but still can't get into the acct.

The exact error message when I try to access the acct from the xfinity email app is "Error:  We couldn’t access your external email [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Please update the password in settings."

Have you had a chance to try resetting your password yet? Additionally, could you confirm whether you’re attempting to sign in through our website or if you’re using a third‑party email client such as Outlook? This will help us narrow down the cause and guide you toward the right solution.

If you added an external email to the webmail site if I remember correctly Xfinity removed the ability to log in to that around June of 2025.  You might be getting this error now because your account might soon be moved to Yahoo! Mail, but it can't do that with the external email there.  Now, having said that....have you tried logging out of your primary email and then signing in with that external email?

The other thing to check, and I wish I could remember how this works out, is in webmail click on the gear icon and then on Email Settings.  In the left pane click on Accounts.  I already removed mine long ago, but could you tell us what you see in the main pain for the external account?

I just signed out of the xfinity email app and tried to log-in.  It then asks for a code to be sent to another email (not an xfinity email) but the code never comes.  If the acct has migrated to yahoo, how would I know?

robert_b18, you would have had to go through the process of migrating it to Yahoo Mail. If you didn't already do that, you should still have your Comcast.net email. Try going to xfinity.com/myaccount and see what emails are on file there.

I just tried again and now I can log-in to[Edited: "Personal Information"] and that's all I see in the app's email pain - no other accts.  So it hasn't migrated to yahoo.
