Can't connect Comcast email to Samsung 25s phone

This just started yesterday by not syncing. I followed the suggestions and deleted it from my phone, now I cannot add it. My email works on my desktop. What did you upgrade and break? I see from past postings that this seems to be a yearly problem. I've been fortunate until now. HELP!!

user_dv00kj, Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to reach out. As someone who depends on my emails for my job and business, I can understand the importance of being able to access your emails without any problems. I am sorry to learn about this experience. You've come to the right place. We are a team of experts who are dedicated to resolving email concerns over social media. We can help. Starting in June 2025, customers with a comcast.net email will be invited to upgrade their email account to Yahoo Mail for a better email experience at no extra cost. Invitations will roll out gradually through 2026, and when the time comes, you’ll see yours in your inbox or when you securely sign in to connect.xfinity.com. For more details on the upgrade, please feel free to visit this link here. Are you able to access your emails directly from our web server using your browser on your Samsung phone at this time?

If you haven't received the email to upgrade yet, to provide our customers with additional security, we added a new checkbox to the Xfinity Email website. This may affect your ability to manage your Xfinity Email (Comcast.net) through a third-party program such as the Samsung email app. The security setting is checked by default. You can easily change this setting at any time by checking the box and turning on access. Here's how below. Please let me know if this helps.
  1. Sign in to Xfinity Email using your Xfinity ID and password.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the Gear icon, then select Settings.
  3. Click Security.
  4. Uncheck the box under Third Party Access Security to prevent third-party programs access to your Xfinity Email, or check the box to allow access.
