Can’t enable third party access - no gear icon

I’m trying to access Comcast email on my iPhone and this article says to “click the gear icon” after logging in to enable third party access. I have no gear icon to click after logging into my account.

... I have no gear icon to click after logging into my account.

The Gear Icon is found in the top-right corner of https://connect.xfinity.com.

Select "(gear icon) / Email settings / Security" and ensure "Third Party Access Security" is checked.

Hello, thank you for the quick responses. Unfortunately, when I login there is no gear icon in the upper right hand corner. Just a avatar and a link to some options. Within the options are “account and identity” but no option to enable third party access.  Does it matter that I am no longer a Comcast customer, I simply have an email address from Comcast that I’m trying to manage. Meaning I do not have an active subscription for any Comcast services at the moment.

Good Morning, @user_myoj14 Thank you for sharing that information. Based on what you've described, it would make sense why you're not seeing the gear icon or the Third-Party Access settings. Because you no longer have an active Xfinity Internet or Voice subscription and are only maintaining a Comcast email account, your profile may be operating under a standalone email status. In that scenario, certain account management features that active customers have access to such as the Third-Party Access Security settings used for email clients like Apple Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird may not be available.

If that's the case, it would explain:

Why the gear icon is no longer visible in your account portal.
Why you don't see a "Third-Party Access Security" option under Account and Identity settings.
Why you're having difficulty connecting the Comcast email account to your iPhone's Mail app or other third-party email clients.

I completely understand how frustrating that is, especially when the support article directs you to settings that don't appear on your account.

If you are seeing an “Account and Identity” link, you are not on the "connect.xfinity.com" page. Comcast/Xfinity may have deleted your email address and might be redirecting you to some other page, perhaps "www.xfinity.com/support/articles/account-email-information".
