can't send comcast.net emails from iPhone or Outlook

I am having problems with sending my comcast.net emails.  My wife and I each have a comcast.net email, and in the last month or so we can receive but not send.  This is true for my wife on both her iPhone using the native Apple iPhone mail app, and on her Windows-11 pc using Microsoft 365 Classic Outlook.  Likewise for me on my iPhone and pc.  However, when I go to my web browser on my pc and open the comcast.net/xfinity email program there, It works!  I see all my folder structure, etc.  Why not in Outlook or on the iPhones?  Ans especially with two independent email accounts?  Spent hours trying to talk with Comcast support, with no success.  Today I looked here in these support forum comments, and see some people have had similar problems and found out their sending problems were due to Comcast blocking their accounts, and the Support Tech was able to unblock it to fix it.   Hope Comcast Support can help me?

I'm having the exact same issue.  It's time for me to look for an alternate internet and email provider.

We would be happy to look into this with you @user_f77dzp Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

I am having the same issue. I can receive e-mails on my phone and computer but cannot send e-mails from my computer or my phone. I can send e-mails from outlook for other e-mail addresses I have set up and I can also send e-mails when I log in directly to Xfinity's website for my e-mail. So I can't tell if it is an Xfinity issue or a computer issue? I have not changed or messed with nay settings?

OK let me describe email I just tried to send from Outlook Classic and is now rotting in my outbox:

Outlook send/receive progress.

! Task '[Edited: "Personal Information"]xxxxx @comcast.net -Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F):  The connection to the server was interrupted.  If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP)."

That would be Comcast, right?

Yesterday I tried to send a test email from my Windows 11 MS 365 Outlook Classic at 8:52am.  It sat in my outbox all day but finally went through and arrived at the addressee at 5pm.
