Changing the Personal (Recovery) email

My xxx@comcast.net email address has an associated "Personal email", which I presume is used for authentication in case I lose my password to xxx@comcast.net.   Currently my personal email is from a former employer, and so I no longer have access to it.  My dilemma: when I attempt to update my "personal email" to something current, xfinity wants to authenticate me using the old "personal email (to which I no longer have access!).  My question: How can I change my "personal email" information?

Hello, @user_mqzf8o, and sorry for the inconvenience. Is this comcast.net email address from an active account or former customer? Recovery options vary depending on its status.

user_mqzf8o Great, to take a closer look at things, can you send a direct message with your full name and address?

To send a "Direct Message":

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (it looks like a text bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
