comcast is deleting sent emails from outlook

Had this same situation happen several weeks ago, just happened again.  Sometime after noon today, all of my sent emails have disappeared from both my Outlook 'sent' folder as well as the 'sent' folder in browser accessed Comcast email client.  I have not changed any POP or IMAP settings which of course shouldn't matter to the Comcast browser client.  I have a huge amount of information in my 'sent' folder including recent business proposals and now they're gone!  Poof!  Please note, this has nothing to do with 'trash' folders or trying to recover 'deleted' emails, this is clearly something Comcast has done on their end.

Hey there @user_cff22f! I am very sorry to hear about your email concerns. Can you clear your cache and cookies on the browser you are using? Once you have completed those steps, can you attempt to access the folder again? Please let us know if that works

I am using the Outlook Office client, not Outlook Express (browser based,) so clearing cache / cookies won't affect this issue.  I only went to the Comcast email application via browser to see if that app also had sent emails deleted, sure enough, sent emails were gone.  This appears to be a problem where Comcast has deleted the contents of my sent folder, please help me recover them.

When it comes to recovering deleted emails, there is only one method currently available to attempting to recover the lost content. If you go here: [Recover Deleted Emails](https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/recover-deleted-email), we have a helpful guide on how to try to recover emails that have been deleted. You will have 30 days to recover deleted emails before they become permanently unavailable.

You will also want to ensure there are no rules in place that is allowing Outlook to automatically delete your sent folder. We also have a helpful article here: [Keep Your Emails from Deleting when Using Multiple Email Programs](https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/managing-email-messages-using-multiple-email-programs) that will go over 3rd party client access and what they can do with your Comcast emails.

While I appreciate your timely response, none of this information applies to my situation.  This morning, there are several hundred emails in my sent folder.  This afternoon, there are three.  Nothing changed between those two events in terms of the setup I've used for a couple of years.  There were no new rules in Outlook, there was nothing different on my side.  I didn't manually delete several hundred emails.  Please investigate the likely situation that Comcast accidentally deleted those emails and if so, how I can recover them.

Just to be sure we are on the same page, have you already tried to recover the deleted emails following the steps we linked above? If so, can you please go into more detail on what happen when you tried the email recovery?

Yes, as I said before, there were no 'accidentally deleted' emails that were there to recover using your first article's method, and there are (were) no Outlook rules at all (of any kind, either to delete or whatever.)  Again, please investigate the likely situation where Comcast accidentally deleted those emails on your side.

the same thing happened again sometime during the day yesterday, yet still no response from xfinity.  Are you guys trying to make your email services so unreliable that long term customers  have no choice but to quit using your services?
