Does the XFINITY Verified logo show up on an account converted to Yahoo?

Does the XFINITY Verified logo show up on an account converted to Yahoo?

Posting this test message and then selecting "Like" to find out.

No, it does not. I get an "X" at the left edge of the of the Sender/Subject lines, but that's pretty cryptic. Where are the "Xf" tag

and the "Verified Email. Learn More" link that https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-verified-email describes, and

that always showed up using https://connect.xfinity.com?

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

The red "Xf" from Xfinity Connect will not work on the Yahoo side. However, BIMI should be working for yahoo.com accounts, as well as migrated comcast.net accounts.  The logo should look somewhat similar to the purple X logo used in my avatar here.

Does that help?

What does that mean exactly? What should we see when genuine Comcast/Xfinity email arrives at a migrated comcast.net address at Yahoo?

Not quite. Your logo here in the Forums is a purple disc with an inscribed white X. The logo that appears on official Xfinity email sent to a migrated comcast.net addresses at Yahoo has a slightly-off-white disc with a purple X. So the colors are basically reversed.

Also:

  • Displaying the list of emails at Yahoo, there is no logo visible at all until one of the messages is opened. This is unlike the lists in Connect, which had a visible logo even in list view.
  • There is nothing like the "Verified Email. Learn More" link that was present in Connect. How are users to know what a purple-X-on-a-white-disc means?
  • Does selecting the purple-X-on-a-white-disc icon open the "Verified Email" page? It does not: it opens https://www.xfinity.com/overview. The company seems to have lost interest in verified email.

Given that Comcast is a $100 billion company with over 100,000 employees, I would have thought it would be able and want to check these things for itself. Apparently, I was mistaken.

@BruceW    It should be this: https://postmaster.comcast.net/bimi_logos/xfinity.svg logo in some form.  If it's not, I can discuss with Yahoo.  I can't see what you're seeing.

The logo placement at Yahoo depends (I believe) which interface (new/old webmail, mobile, etc) you're using.  Are you still using the older style Yahoo webmail?

It astonishes me that Comcast has brought this plague upon us, apparently without any interest in seeing how it's working.

Maybe you could if you bothered to look? If that's too much to ask, here's "what I'm seeing":

If this is BIMI, it is essentially useless. Where is any indication official emails from Comcast/Xfinity are in fact official?? All we get is a stylized "X". Is that from Xfinity? X (Twitter)? Some other sender who's name starts with an X?

@BruceW I don't yet have a comcast.net account migrated to the Yahoo platform.  I generally know how BIMI works, but each provider (yahoo/gmail/etc) have their own policies/rules about how it specifically works within their systems.

I do not manage the Yahoo platform.  I can provide them feedback if you would like.

I'd like to see Comcast/Xfinity do everything it can to discourage spammers and scammers. I would have thought Comcast/Xfinity would be on board with that idea. Sure, taking action has a cost, but not taking action has a cost as well.

@BruceW Sure, we're doing a bunch of things to help with various attack vectors.

I'm asking if we can change that URL to point to something more informative.  Thanks for the feedback.
