Email access after account closure?
Unless Xfinity finds me a better rate soon, I will likely be cancelling my 30+ year account. I have chosen to NOT move my family’s Comcast.net email to Yahoo (b/c Yahoo [Edited: Language]). I found this Xfinity article that seems to indicate that we can keep our email accounts even after we cancel: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-only-faqs
Is this current and accurate information?
Does accessing the email via IMAP through Outlook qualify to keep the email addresses current?

Hello @Anon2, thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. You are able to keep your (@comcast.net) email address without any lines of service. To keep the Xfinity Email active, you will need to sign in at least once every nine months on the Xfinity Email web portal.

I think, however, that eventually you will have to move your comcast.net email address to Yahoo or lose it when Comcast shuts down the email servers. You can always use a third party email app to avoid the awful Yahoo email website.
